Trudi Lalor, the lovely girl from Mountrath, Co. Laois, is regarded as one of Irelands favorite and talented entertainers. She has built up a loyal following throughout the country over the past 15 years and Trudi also has fans as far away as Denmark, Canada and the U.S. Trudi also regularly performs at The Irish Country Music Festivals in Greece and Spain, and this year she is one of the head- line acts at next years Country and Irish Music Festival in Vilamoura on Portugal’s beautiful Algarve from September 23rd – 30th 2012
Her first album “ Next Time Round” was produced by Ray Lynam and soon the radio stations were featuring Trudi Lalor, and the D.J’S all agreed “A Star has been Found “.
Trudi’s first hit song was the very popular “Lovely Laois” written by her friend Christy Cullen also from Mountrath. That song really brought Trudi to the attention of music lovers all over Ireland as well as the U.K.
Trudi has visited Nashville on several occasions and in fact her second album entitled “The Nashville Album” was recorded on Music Row, which is the centre of the country music industry in the U.S.
Trudi released her 5th album called “Home I’ll Be” , last year. The 13 track album contains a lovely mixture of Irish songs which will appeal to a wide audience.
The first single from the new album was released in earlier this year, this was a duet with popular singer Patrick O’Sullivan entitled “ Far away a light is burning”.
The new album also contains the hit song from the album,
”Beautiful Isle of Somewhere” which is the duet with Trudi and her mother Philomena Keyes .
Trudi decided to include this song in memory of her late brother Alan, and the sentiment is evident on the beautiful rendition by Trudi and her Mother.
Trudi Lalor always gives 100% at every performance and her enthusiasm for the music business is as strong as ever, no wonder she has a huge collection of awards gathered over
the years, including “Female Vocalist of the year”, Female Entertainer of the year”, “Performance of the year” ” Album of the year” the list goes on and on….
Trudi Lalor will be appearing at C.B.’s Kilross on this Saturday night 25th August.
