A traditional music session held over the summer in the Park Hotel,Clonmel will this year raise funds for three organisations.
The Ceolta Feasa group, made up of musicians from Powerstown/Lisronagh and Cahir branches of Comhaltas Ceoiltoiri Eireann, will perform for seven thursday nights iin the Park Hotel over the summer.
Three of those nights will raise funds for the South Tipperary Carers Association, Clonmel Swimming Club and Tigh na Daoine/Newcastle Community Alert.
The opening night will be held on July 5th.The Newcastle night will beheld on July 12th,the Carers night will be held on the 19th and the Clonmel Swimming Club night will be held on the 26th July.Three mors shows will take place on August 2nd,9th and 16th.All shows are timed for 8pm and consists of a one hour performance from the group and after a break another hour of music, song and dance with members of the audience encouraged to join in.
“The show has been attracting good crowds and it is a very enjoyable family night out,” said organiser Mary Harty.
The show is in its tenth year and has proved to be a great success over the years.
“We are delighted that the show has proven so popular.It is a good night out and at the same time we can raise funds for groups that need a financial boost,” said Mary Harty.
