Clonmel’s Julie Holland picks up piano excellent award

Julie Holland from Clonmel was recently recognised for her outstanding music performance at the Leinster School of Music and Drama All-Ireland Excellence Awards prize winners concert and ceremony held at Griffith College, Dublin.

Julie Holland from Clonmel was recently recognised for her outstanding music performance at the Leinster School of Music and Drama All-Ireland Excellence Awards prize winners concert and ceremony held at Griffith College, Dublin.

The competition was open to over 14,500 students throughout the country with the top 194, who were highlighted by the examiners as demonstrating excellence in music or speech and drama, called back to compete in the Excellence Awards. Julie was one of 33 nominees selected from that group to perform at the Awards concert and ceremony - the third successive year she has been chosen to do so.

Daughter of Denis and Joan Holland, Danehill, The Paddocks, Fethard Road, Julie attends piano lessons with Geraldine Molumby. Aged 11, she is a 6th class pupil of the Presentation Primary School.
