Book clubs seek new members

Carrick-on-Suir Library’s book clubs are open to new members and genealogy classes begin at the Library in early February.

Carrick-on-Suir Library’s book clubs are open to new members and genealogy classes begin at the Library in early February.

A book club for adults meets at the Library, located at the Fair Green, Carrick-on-Suir, on the first Tuesday of every month at 2.30pm and on the first Wednesday of every month at 7pm.

There are two juvenile book clubs.

The club for children aged 10 to 12 year olds meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 4pm while the club for children aged 7 to 9 years olds meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 4pm.

Meanwhile, anyone interested in taking part in the Library’s geneaolgy classes run by librarian Maura Barrett must book their place by this Thursday, January 30 as places are limited.
