The young singers, dancers and actors at Carrick-on-Suir Musical Society’s Academy for the Performing Arts will be taking to the stage of The Strand Theatre for two shows next week.

The Academy’s end of term production, Les Moosicals, will feature a mix of music, dance and drama from such classic musicals as Oliver, Matilda, Oklahoma, A Chorus Line and Les Miserables.

More than 90 young people from the Academy are taking part in the show with around 50 of the performers having either a speaking or singing part.

The production team of Director Fiona Hennessy, Musical Director Siobhan Grace, Chorographer Amy Walsh with speech and drama teachers Irene Walsh and Jimsy Dooley have worked extremely hard to get this production to the stage.

The production team have highly praised all of the children involved in the production for their dedication and efforts.

The fruits of their effort can be seen on the stage of the Theatre next Tuesday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 22.

To experience this wonderful occasion get along to the Strand Theatre and book your tickets.

Ticket cost just E10 and you can purchase a family ticket, which will admit 4 for E35.

The shows start each night at 7pm.
