A big congratulations to Daniel Gubbins from Bansha who won the singing competition at the Irish Performing Arts Festival run by the COPE foundation earlier this year.

A big congratulations to Daniel Gubbins from Bansha who won the singing competition at the Irish Performing Arts Festival run by the COPE foundation earlier this year.

Daniel was born with a brain tumour and now has special needs but this in no way has prevented him going after his dreams. For the competition he represented the Nagle Centre in Cashel and Gateway Centre in Cahir.

“He sang before his spoke and the prognosis at birth wasn’t good but he has proved everyone wrong including the medical profession with his determination and commitment to enjoy as much of life as possible.”said hsi mother Mags.

Daniel is rehearsing for a pantomime with the Brothers of Charity in Waterford. “Daniel is both acting and singing and it’s taking up huge time and huge commitment but he’s thriving on it,” said Mags.
