There was a good turn out and plenty of excitement at the recent county finals of the Talent competitions which took place in Dunkerrin Hall where the guest of honour was none other than Henry Healy, cousin of President Barack Obama. Henry was responsible for the President’s visit to Ireland last year and he was with the President in the White House on St Patrick’s Day along with Moneygall publican, Ollie Hayes, who featured on The Late Late Show on last Friday night. Henry took time out off his busy schedule to present the medals in all the Talent events much to the delight of the children, some of whom stated this really added to the thrill of winning.
