Fergus Costello, singer-songwriter, performance poet, storyteller, and comic entertainer all rolled into one, will perform at a benefit for the Cloughjordan Festival on Saturday, January 19 at Sheelagh na Gig bookshop in Cloughjordan.

A crafter of ‘hilarious comedy monologues’ (Davin O’Dwyer, The Irish Times), Fergus Costello claims an impressive number of performance prizes.

He has been declared Munster Slam Champion 2010-2011 and 2011-2012. At the world-famous Listowel Writers’ Week 2011, Fergus won the International Story Telling Competition, and scooped the Ireland’s Funniest Grandparent 2011 title on RTÉ Radio 1.

Fergus brings his lively, snappy monologues and music to Cloughjordan to benefit the Cloughjordan Festival. Tickets are €10 and are available on the door. The show is in the Reading Room at Sheelagh na Gig.

Doors open at 7.30pm on Saturday, 19 January, and the performance starts at 8pm sharp.
