Carrick-on-Suir Library - try something new this autumn

Chess, scrabble, story time sessions, knitting and book clubs are among the eclectic mix of activities taking place at Carrick-on-Suir Public Library this month.

Chess, scrabble, story time sessions, knitting and book clubs are among the eclectic mix of activities taking place at Carrick-on-Suir Public Library this month.

Due to popular demand, chess is returning to the Library on Tuesday mornings starting on September 17. The sessions from 11am to 1pm, will be suitable for all levels.

Meanwhile, the scrabble club continues every Monday from 11.30am to 1pm. The Lone Parent Group meets on Thursdays from 11.30am to 1pm while an adult knitting group meets there on Thursdays between 3pm and 4.30pm.

The Library’s adult book clubs resume this evening, Wednesday, September 4 at 7 pm and next Tuesday, September 10 at 3pm. Book club members are reading “The Nights of Circus” by Erin Morgenstern and the vibrant tale “After River” by Donna Milner this month.

The popular story time for pre-school children also resumes on Tuesdays at 11.30am.
