Clonmel Junction Festival in association with STAN (South Tipperary Action Network) are delighted to announce that the Fishamble Theatre Company’s production of “Silent” will be returning to Clonmel on October 10 for one night only at the White Memorial Theatre.
This will be the show’s fourth performance in Clonmel with all previous shows selling out.
“Silent” was the highlight of the 2012 festival and was unanimously awarded the judges prize for Best Theatre performance. The show then travelled to New York and LA where it received rave reviews. The Festival is thrilled to have the opportunity to bring this show back to Clonmel.
“Silent” is a very special night at the theatre. A touching, and heart warming play that is both uplifting and insightful. It is a credit to the writer performer Pat Kinevane that he is able to tackle a topic as poignant as homelessness and mental health in a meaningful way while still creating an evening of the most exceptional entertainment. He dares the audience to laugh at despair and gasp at redemption in this brave, bleak, beautiful production. “Silent” really is a must-see from one of Ireland’s top theatre companies.
The Irish Times - ‘Drop everything. Book now… captivating, moving, and – yes – even unforgettable.’
New York Times - ‘Kinevane doesn’t just demand your attention, he commands it. And that difference is what makes him an artist of the theater.’
The Guardian - ‘Buttonholing the audience with immense charm’ 4 Star Review
Tickets €16 are available at Premier Music Store, Clonmel - 052 61 29811 and online at www.junctionfestival.com <http://www.junctionfestival.com/> .
