Three Tenors in Cashel

On Saturday evening last the Irish Tenors came to Cashel to give a concert in aid St Patrick’s Hospital.

On Saturday evening last the Irish Tenors came to Cashel to give a concert in aid St Patrick’s Hospital.

David John and Declan put on a tremendous evening filled with old and new songs of great renown which inspired a standing ovation on a number of occasions thought out the performance. It was a very successful evening with many contributions from the Tipperary Gospel Choir.

The concert was hosted by Rev Dean Knowles in St John’s Cathedral, John Street, who made a significant contribution to the proceeding himself by playing the wonderful piped organ and entertained the audience with an analogy of stories.

Mary Prendergast director of nursing at St Patrick’s said: “Our most sincere thanks to all who contributed it has been a great occasion for the hospital and the people of Cashel. On behalf of our management, dear patients, staff and the hospital in general we extend our appreciation to the Tenors, the Gospel Choir, Dean Knowles and all who contributed in anyway to the evening. May the deep kindness and generosity of many be returned to them in magical ways.”

The proceeds of the concert will be used to provide general support and comforts to residents and to complete a sensory garden on the grounds. A number of patients attended on the evening and truly enjoyed it.
