Fr. Christy O’Dwyer celebrated mass in the Teach Ceoil and a special word of thanks to Fr. Christy for performing such a beautiful ceremony.

Branch officers elected on the night were - Chairperson: John Geehan, Vice Chairperson: Theresa Shelly, Secretary: Ann Gleeson, Treasurer: Donnchadh O Cinneide, PRO: Ronan O’Brien, President: Cáit Quirke, Irish Officer: Tadhg Hinchy.

Thanks was given to everyone who had helped with the successful running of the branch for the past 12 months and the night concluded with refreshments being served to all in attendance, thanks to Joan Murphy for yet again catering for everyone.

On Saturday, October 27, Craobh Caiseal Mumhan and members of Ceol na Leanaí performed a seisiún in Tesco shopping centre for Trad for Trocaire.

The event was very well supported and thank you to all for contributing.

A special word of thanks Pat Moloughney for facilitating the event in the shopping centre.

We will be sending off a very generous donation to Trocaire as a result of money collected on the day.

Music classes continue on Tuesday evenings and set dancing classes are in full swing from 8pm on Tuesday nights. Ceol na Leanaí continue their monthly seisiún on the first Friday of every month from 8pm.

On October 4 Bord Thiobraid Árann CCÉ held a Child Protection seminar in Brú Ború which was very well attended by all branches of Comhaltas in Tipperary.

The seminar was delivered by Comhaltas Ardrúnaí and Child Protection Officer Tomás Ó Maoldomhnaigh.

The seminar was highy informative and it was the general consesus by all in attendance that it was extremely worthwhile and beneficial.
