Mayoral honour for chart-topping musician Paul

A young man who Clonmel’s Mayor Darren Ryan says “excels in many disciplines, but especially music” is to be honoured by his home town.

A young man who Clonmel’s Mayor Darren Ryan says “excels in many disciplines, but especially music” is to be honoured by his home town.

Paul Walsh, lead singer with chart-toppers Royseven, is to be granted a mayoral reception by Clonmel Borough Council.

Mayor Darren Ryan said that Paul is a young man who has brought pride to his family and it is right to honour a young person during his lifetime. The Walsh family are steeped in the music tradition in Clonmel, the Mayor added.

The reception will be held on Friday, June 15.
