The Times Hotel in Tipperary town is to host a great double attraction on Sunday night next with a visit from Jason McGilligan and The Hot Band with special guest Joe Moore.
Jason McGilligan is a young man who is making a big impact on the Irish music scene following a hugely successful launch of his new band three years ago.
Many will remember Jason as an aspiring contestant on TG4’s Glor Tire when he performed ‘Lookin’ Out My Back Door’ and ‘When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold Again’.
He’s a cousin of well known country signer Kieran McGilligan and boasts a superb backing outfit called The Hot Band who were voted ‘Best Northern Band’ of 2013.
Born and raised in Limavady, Co. Derry, Jason’s love of music was nurtured from a very young age in his own home as his family is steeped in music.
He took his first steps as a singer alongside his father on the local scene at the age of 17.
Joe Moore, making his first ever visit to this area, made a huge impact as one of the big stars of the TG4 series ‘Glor Tíre’ a few years ago.
The Dungiven performer has been singing on the Northern circuit circuit, for the past 15 years, earning the title “Mr Country” and his appearance along with Jason McGilligan at The Times Hotel on this Sunday night, 5th January is eagerly awaited by true lovers of country music in the region.
