Clonmel Arts Centre to host a night of classical guitar recital

Tickets available for this Thursday night’s Classical Guitar Recital in the Arts Centre , Nelson St., Clonmel 0526127877 at 7. 30 p.m. featuring popular Classics, Trad, Spanish Tunes, Jazz and Beatles music with Peter Richmond, UK and Clonmel’s Liam O Reilly, Shamrock Hill.

They will be joined by Poet Mary O’ Gorman, Powerstown for a great night of entertainment.

This is another fundraiser for the Arts Centre. Admission Adults €10, Children €5 and Concessions (Students, unwaged and Seniors) €8.

`Spring Time of Hope’, an exhibition by the Artists from `Cluain’, Clonmel will close on this coming Saturday at 4 p.m. with over 40 works sold and over 250 visitors in the last month!

The new Exhibition `Awkward Beauty’ featuring Figurative Sculptures and drawings by Artist Ayelet Lalor, Dublin will be launched on Wednesday March 6th. and will run for 4 weeks.

Crochet for Beginners and Improvers( Right and left handers) will commence on this coming Thursday at 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for the next 6 weeks €10 per session. Booking is essential to secure a place. Contact the Arts Centre Reception at 0526127877

`Have Fun Through Music’ a Children’s Music Workshop will take place on Saturday March 9th. for children from four years to six years, seven years to nineyears and 10 years up to 12 years of age. Tutor is Niall O’ Connor, Waterford.

Booking is essential as places are limited. €7 per student. No equipment necessary.

Children’s Friday and Saturday classes are now full up to Easter.

Further after school Art and Craft classes can be arranged on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays if there is a demand. Contact The Reception at 0526127877

The Watercolour class with Ray Osborn on Tuesday mornings is doing very well and is an ongoing class and artists can join in at any stage.

Wednesday morning’s Get together of artists and craftspeople is a bit slow at present but at €3 per session it is well worth the peace and quiet to get work done.

Paintings by members of STAG are available to view upstairs in the Studio at any time during opening hours.
