Congratulations to Patrician Presentation Transition Year Pupil, Katie Whyte on her outstanding achievement in the Leinster School of Music and Drama this year.

Katie, daughter of Tina and Pat Whyte, Coleman, is a pupil of, Mr Stuart Clooney, who nominated Katie for the Excellence Awards National Competition held in July in Griffith College, Dublin.

The competition is held annually since 2004 and includes the top music and drama students in the country. Out of 10,000 students taking exams each year only approximately 100 students are chosen each year. Katie played her chosen piano piece before the examiners at the competition and having progressed to the final stages, she was duly awarded the Excellence Award Certificate. Well done Katie and best of luck in your future music studies.
