WORLD renowned American finger-style jazz guitarist Duck Baker, and popular folk poet Racker Donnelly, will play an eagerly awaited set at the intimate heritage venue of Cloughjordan House, Cloughjordan, on Friday, September 28, 8.30pm.

Duck Baker, described as “one of the half-dozen or so most gifted acoustic guitar players in the world today”, his appearance is surely not one to be missed. His unique style of blending jazz guitar with traditional Irish music as well as blues, gospel, bluegrass and other musical genres, along with his relaxed and witty onstage presence makes him one of the most celebrated contemporary guitarists of his generation.

Racker Donnelly is a much revered folk poet who has a fan base of popular artists who have given fulsome praise to this unique performer. He is a regular guest on BBC Radio 4.

It will be the duo’s only appearance outside of Dublin, where they will take part in Ranelagh Arts Festival.

The atmosphere and charm of this venue will be enhanced by the sampling of Tullamore D.E.W. whiskey as well as local artisan cheese and food during the evening.

Tickets for this much anticipated event cost E25. For more details, contact 087-2515694 or email: peter@cloughjordanhouse.ie.
