Roscrea Musical Society are thrilled and excited to announce that we are undertaking a new Project this year. We are delighted for the first time ever to be putting together a New Book based on the life of Roscrea Musical Society and are so lucky to have the renowned historian/Author Mr. George Cunningham on board for this great adventure.
George has a mountain of information, photographs etc going back all the years to the foundation of Roscrea Musical Society or back then when it was called Roscrea Operatic Society.
We are looking for more information, photos, paper clippings, programs, etc - especially photos from the 1940’s and the 1950’s- anyone who may have been in any of the shows over the years or indeed anyone who knows people who were involved, friends, neighbours etc. We would be most grateful if you would loan us those photos etc, we will look after them and make sure of their safe return to you once the publisher has made copies.
We are hoping to launch this great book during our production of “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” which will be staged (copyrights to perform pending) in April 2013. So we have to get cracking, time is of the essence. If you have any paraphernalia that might be of interest please contact any committee member of Roscrea Musical Society or you can e - mail us information, photos etc, to: firstname.lastname@example.org
We will be only too happy to get back to you, or collect whatever information, material you may have from you.
