This lecture represents a very timely account of 800 years of local government in our county. Matthew describes its development through such institutions as Grand Juries, Municipal Corporations, Board of Guardians and County Councils. Lesser known aspects such as the liberty of the Butlers and the County of Cross Tipperary are also included. So, join us for another exciting instalment in the history of the premier county.
