Thurles Drama Group are on their way to the All-Ireland Open Drama Finals for the third consecutive year.
Following a series of sensational, and award-winning, performances on the Irish drama festival circuit the Thurles Drama Group secured their coveted place at the All Ireland Open Drama Finals - the final will take place in Athlone during the week of May 1st-10th.
Such were the quality of the group’s performances and a series of impressive wins the group had secured their place in the All-Ireland finals prior to the results of the final two festivals in Glenamaddy and Holycross.
Under the directorship of Margaret McCormack Thurles Drama Group wowed audiences and adjudicators alike with their stunning production of Arthur Miller’s ‘A View From The Bridge’.
Indeed, the Thurles Drama Group has won countless acting and production awards along the way.
Thurles Drama Group will now join eight other groups in the Dean Crowe Theatre (the Croke Park of the drama world) to compete for the All-Ireland title.
The group will be assigned a performance date over the coming weeks and bookings will be open at the Dean Crowe Theatre shortly afterwards.
Patrons wishing to travel to Athlone and support Thurles Drama Group are advised to book as soon as possible as all nights will sell out within a couple of days of going on sale.
