Ballylooby NS in Cahir are hosting a fundraising concert featuring country and cospel singer James Kilbane at the St Kieran’s Church, Ballylooby on Friday, June 5th at 8pm.

Ballylooby NS in Cahir are hosting a fundraising concert featuring country and cospel singer James Kilbane at the St Kieran’s Church, Ballylooby on Friday, June 5th at 8pm.

This will be Kilbane’s first concert visit to Ballylooby and this christian event is in support of the local Ballylooby National School’s refurbishment and technology development fundraising drive.

Over the past twelve months necessary work has been done to the Ballylooby school’s interior, however. there is still a lot more work due for flooring and general upkeep. Further funds are also needed to improve technology and computers for the students.

Today Ballylooby School depend on the generosity of parents and the wider communities for funding to help continue with such maintenance and improvement works.

Coming from a rural island community singer James Kilbane is very aware of the difficulties experienced by rural communities across the country.

Since 2004 Kilbane has had unique success in the music industry. Today he is a popular voice on Irish radio stations and television across the country with his sounds of country, gospel and faith based music. He is always kept busy.
