Cashel Tidy Towns Committee announce that the Cashel 2011 Spring Clean campaign gets underway at 2.00pm on Tuesday 26th April with members and volunteers gathering in Friar St. car park.
The TT Team has already been very active around the town and we have carried out litter picks on the Clonmel and Cahir motorway roundabouts. In addition we fixed fences, weeded flower beds, sourced saplings, held liaison meetings with Cashel Town Council, participated in St Patrick’s Day Parade, held a Presentation Event to launch our 3 Year Plan and in general made ourselves very busy in many different activities, all designed to improve the appearance of Cashel for the benefit of visitors and indeed ourselves.
This is the time of year when we can make a real difference to our town and we need all the assistance we can get to carry out an ambitious program of work.
So if you want to get involved, PLEASE PLEASE come along to Friar St car park at 2.00pm on Tuesday 26th April to help us make Cashel a town to be proud of.

Cashel RFC’s season is finally reaching it’s peak as the first’s play the Munster Junior Cup Final next Sunday in Musgrave Park against the mighty Cork Con. This is the perfect way for this crop of fine Cashel players to finish playing junior rugby as they join the senior ranks next season. As said before no Cashel man has ever got their hands on a junior Cup Medal wearing the club’s red jersey. A couple of players have won it playing for other clubs but it would mean so much more to them and their families if they could do it for Cashel. Club president Paudi Ryan Preston calls on all supporters from the town and surrounding area’s with a love of the game to come and help cheer this team to the success they deserve. This final is the culmanation of ten years hard work by players, coach’s, committee members and supporters to get the club to this place. A Junior Cup is not given away and if Cashel are to win they will have to fight all the way to the bitter end to get their hands on this trophy. This is the final match of the season for the first team and it would be fantastic to have a massive Cashel crowd come cheer the men in red on as they take on Cork Con in their own backyard in Musgrave Park!!
