The Tipperary Excel Gallery will host artist Andrew Kenny’s exhibition entitled ‘Felt’ which will open on March 24th and run until May 1st.
The potential of the human mind has not, as yet, been fully unravelled. For example, we can neither fully accept nor reject a notion such as extra sensory perception, nor even that of a perceptive sense possessed by all but the developed to different levels of consciousness.
In this art setting, our deliberations might form the question of whether it is possible for an artist to transform information from such subjective senses into an understandable form by projecting images directly from the mind onto or through some medium. This is the very question we are invited to contemplate in artist Andrew Kenny’s exhibition ‘Felt’.
Andrew Kenny graduated from the Wexford School of Art with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art in 2008 having previously studied for three years at the Gorey School of Art.
Since graduating he has undertaken extensive research in various paranormal phenomena including spirit photography, Thoughtography, ESP, telepathy, out of body experiences etc and produced experimental works which has led to this new body of work.
