Up-Coming Events At The Tipperary Excel

Ballet School - starts on Saturday, September 15th at 10am; 11am; 12pm; 1.30pm. The new term of Excel Ballet School commences on September 15th with a 12-week term to Christmas and a break for the mid-term in October. If you would like to join or you are returning again, just call the box office on 062 80520 to register your interest. Places are limited so that children get the full attention of the ballet teacher, to learn their steps and balance. Admission: E120 for 12 weeks (first term).

Creative Writing Workshops - starts on Thursday, September 13th (advanced) and on September 20th (introductory) at 10am-12 noon

Culture Night takes place on September 21st at 7.30pm & 8.10pm.

A night of entertainment, discovery and adventure across 30 towns, cities and counties in Ireland. Arts and cultural organizations will open their doors until late with free events for all the family and friends to enjoy.

The Excel Arts & Cultural Centre will run a Salsa/Tango evening for adults - a taster evening with demos at 7.30pm. No experience needed.

The award winning film This Must Be The Place will run at 8.10pm - here a bored, retired rock star sets out to find the man responsible for his father’s humiliation, an ex-Nazi war criminal who is a refugee in the US.

Admission is free.

At 11.15am the Armed Eye Film & Theatre Company will perform Psycho Spaghetti. This is aimed specifically at transition year and leaving cert applied students. This one man comedy is set in a classroom and takes a comic look at how teenagers interact with their world. This show is said to be “Fantastically Funny”! The show runs with no interval for 90 minutes.

Admission: students E10 and teachers free of charge.
