Now that the first rehearsal for Thurles Musical Society’s Republic of Ireland Premiere of the hit musical ‘Sister Act’ has taken place, attention turns immediately to the annual auditions for the main parts.

This takes place in the Anner Hotel on Saturday afternoon next and the audition pieces - musical and dialogue- have been chosen by Director Tony Finnegan and are available for Society members.

The show will run in The Premier Hall from March 25-29th and after a big turnout for the first rehearsal on Tuesday, the company will once again be in rehearsal mode tomorrow night (Thursday) also in the Anner Hotel at 8:00pm.

There is still plenty of time for people to get involved and Chairman Jack Gleeson is extending a cead mile failte to anyone who wishes to come on board, in any capacity.

Jack, together with Secretary Laura Ryan, Treasurer Antoin O’Briain, and the Production Team of Tony Finnegan, Debbie Kiernan (Choreographer) and Mary Rose McNally (Musical Director) will be overseeing matters for the next few months as all the various elements of producing a show fall into place.

Loads of help is required, on an off the stage, and we would really love to see new members joining our ranks.

So, why not jump on board.
