Shronell students bring colour to 60th Texaco Children’s Art competition

Judging of entries in this year’s 60th Texaco Children’s Art Competition has commenced.

Going for judging are entries received from two west Tipperary students – a work entitled ‘Flower Power by 12-year old Sarah Vaughan and a work entitled ‘General Michael Collins’ by 9-year old Robert Mullins both from Shronell National School whose works are pictured (right)being admired by marketing manager Bronagh Carron. Winners will be announced in mid-April after which the top twenty-one prizewinning entries will be placed on exhibition at the Hugh Lane Gallery on Dublin’s Parnell Square where they will be seen alongside works by such renowned figures as Francis Bacon, William Orpen, Jack B.
