Louise Morrissey has long been regarded by both folk and country music enthusiasts as one of our vocal treasures.
Multi-award winner Louise is highly regarded both nationally and internationally as one of Ireland’s greatest interpreters of song, this combined with her unique guitar style makes for a magical experience.
Louise is a very proud daughter of Tipperary and loves nothing more than singing in her home county and meeting her many friends and fans. So, she is really excited about this special concert at Brú Ború which sees Louise return to the theatre stage for this intimate trip back to her old days when she performed with her brothers as part of the highly-acclaimed folk group The Morrisseys. From the mid ‘70s through to the late ‘80s The Morrisseys enjoyed national and international success.
Louise will take you on a nostalgic journey from those early days with The Morrisseys right up to the present day, singing songs from her vast repertoire.
Louise has invited her brother Norman to join her on bass and vocals for this special concert and together they will share with their audience many memories, stories and songs including her chart topping ‘The Old Rustic Bridge By The Mill’, her touching bribute to Percy French with the classic ‘Come Back Paddy Reilly To Balyjamesduff’ and many more favourites making for a most enjoyable summer evening’s concert at Brú Ború in Cashel.
