The Town Hall Cinema in the Nenagh Arts Centre will host a screening of ‘Run Lola Run’ on Thursday, May 14th at 8pm - tickets for the event are priced at €8.
In ‘Run Lola Run’, directed by Tom Twyker, Franka Potente star as Lola, a young woman who needs to obtain €100,000 in twenty minutes to save her boyfriend’s life.
Director Tom Twyker’s whipsmart thriller plays out over three ‘runs’ where Lola chases down her goal, but with different outcomes and incidents in each run.
The film is an incendiary mix of music, noise and movement.
The Town Hall Cinema in the Nenagh Arts Centre will host a screening of the 1952 classic ‘The Quiet Man’ (directed by John Ford) on Thursday, May 21st at 11am.
Admission to the screening will be free - the Town Hall Cinema will host this screening as part of the Bealtaine Festival.
In ‘The Quiet Man’ a former boxer Sean Thornton (John Wayne) has just arrived from America to his ancestral home of Inisfree and sets his eye on the beautiful Mary Kate Danaher (Maureen O’Hara) and sparks fly.
Under the watchful eyes of the various relatives and villagers, love might blossom, but for Mary Kate’s brother, the boorish Will Danaher who takes a dislike to the American on sight.
