Tipperary Town Plaza will host a fundraising Vintage Car Rally and Family Fun Day for local charity Circle of Friends this Sunday, (October 4th) from 2pm to 5pm.

The grounds of Tipperary Town Plaza, located on the Limerick Road, will be filled with rare vintage cars and tractors on the day while owners of these unique motors will be on hand to give information on the cars they have carefully restored and care for. Young motor enthusiasts will be treated to a day of children’s entertainment, face painting, balloon modelling and prizes in the Plaza itself while a love Tipp FM broadcast will also take place from the event. Director of Tipperary Town Plaza, Pat McDonagh, said: “We are delighted to support local charity Circle of Friends doing vital work within the county of Tipperary.

We wanted to facilitate an event customers of all ages could enjoy and would find interesting. Through Tipperary Town Plaza we are providing a platform for these admirable cars which presents a perfect opportunity to customers who wish to learn about our motoring history.” Event Co-Organiser Tipperary Vintage Rally Club is led by Steve Thornton and Jack Leonard. There are over 100 exhibits expected at Sunday’s Vintage Car Rally with all exhibitors welcome including vintage and modified cars, bikes, tractors, trucks and classic cars. Every exhibitor will also receive a free gift upon registration. Mr. Thornton said: “We are expecting exhibitors from Tipperary , Clare, Limerick and Cork to attend the event on Sunday. With the use of such a well laid out location I believe the Vintage Car Rally will allow these motors to be showcased to their best advantage outdoors. Vintage Car owners readily share the stories of their cars and can provide a wealth of knowledge on vintage motors in general.” Circle of Friends is a cancer support centre which provides support services to persons affected by cancer in a safe and confidential environment while respecting the worth and dignity of the individual.

The Centre also provides a drop in service where people who have been affected by cancer and their families may access support and information. Tipperary Town Plaza provides much needed services to motorists and tourists in the Tipperary area. A vast variety of food offerings including Mac’s Place, a fresh delicatessen and carvery alongside Supermac’s, Papa John’s Pizza, SuperSubs and Bewley’s are available for motorists in Tipperary Town Plaza as well as a Topaz Fuel Station and a Spar Convenience Shop.
