With less than a month to go, the committee of Cashel St. Patrick’s Day Parade is coming to the final stages of its preparations for this year’s Parade.
While the day is a long standing tradition in the social calendar, it also marks the firm march towards Summer. There is however, a poignant tinge to this year’s day of our Patron Saint. With the significant loss of Cashel Town Council, St. Patrick’s Day Committee wish 17th March to be particularly clamorous and glamorous. The organisation is asking all community groups, sports clubs, historical and artistic societies and commercial entrants to the parade to make a special effort for this year and make the day one that will be remembered positively. In order to help the organisers, all entrants are requested to return their Parade entry forms as soon as possible to secretary, Niall Gregory. Any group or organisation wishing to participate, but have not yet received an entry form should contact Niall (086 4096899 or nialltgregory@;gmail.com). A key ingredient to Cashel’s St. Patrick’s Day is that everyone has a happy, safe and fun-filled day.
