The Nenagh Arts Centre will host a screening of the ‘Philomena’ on Thursday, May 15th.
The story of Philomena Lee’s search for her son following her incarceration at a Magdelene laundry in Roscrea has now attained legendary status in Ireland and abroad. Speaking for the thousands of parents and children who suffered at the hands of a cruel clerical system. ‘Philomena’ is the poignant story of a woman’s search for her lost child.
The film screens at 8pm - admission is priced at €8 and pre-booking is advised.
