The Town Hall Cinema will host a screening of ‘The Cormack Brothers’ at the Nenagh Arts Centre on Thursday, April 23rd (8pm).
After the famine in 1850s Ireland, two Catholic brothers were hanged for murder.
This feature film depicts the events leading up to the murder of John Ellis, the trial of the two brothers and fifty years on, their reburial.
This is a powerful chapter in Irish history, a true story that shows the corruption of a court system controlled by the British Government.
The Cormack brothers were wrongfully convicted, but they had no idea of their influence on the fate of Ireland and it’s fight for independence.
Tickets for this screening are priced at just €8.
