THE Tipperary Excel Arts Centre have announced the details of a ‘Celebration of Drama’ which represents a major fundraising initiative.
On Friday, April 12th the Simon Ryan Theatre in the Tipperary Excel will host the Thurles Drama Group’s production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons. On Saturday, April 15th the Ballyduff Drama Group will perform Brian Friel’s Dancing at Lughnasa. Admission on a nightly basis is priced at E15 with a two-night bundle priced at E25. Concessions for groups are priced at E10.

The weekend will also include a series of workshops entitled Introduction to Drama. These workshops will be catering for all ages from young children to students and adults alike and will be delivered by The Lir, National Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Located in Dublin the Lir was developed by the partnership of the Cathal Ryan Trust and Trinity College Dublin. It opens its doors to the first students in September 2011 and is formally associated with the world renowned Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Full details of these workshops will be announced shortly.
