Platform Ceile

Friday 23rd 6:30pm – 9.30pm. The renowned Ceile and Set Dancing teacher, Maureen Culleton will call the sets, invite the singers and guest musicians to perform their talents. If the weather should rule out dancing, music and singing outside, the event will be moved to the nearby Gortagarry Community Hall. Tea and refreshments will be provided. An outdoor ‘Platform Ceile’ will be held at the same location as it would have been held on this farm in the 1940’s and 50’s. Cloncannon, Moneygall, Roscrea. Music on the Castle Lawn

Saturday 17th 14:00 – 16:00 (FREE) Members of Roscrea Comhaltas Ceoltóirí will entertain visitors with traditional music on the lawn in front of the castle. This is a free event. Access to the grounds and gardens are also free, although there is an admission charge for Castle, Damer House and Black Mills. Roscrea Heritage, Castle Street. Midland Orchestra

Sunday 18th 15:00 – 16:00 (FREE) Enjoy an afternoon of Classical Music from our 25-piece Orchestra. This event will take place in the annexe of Damer House. Roscrea Heritage OPW, Jacinta Rigney, roscreaheritage@opw.ie, 0505 21850
