CTRYO - first outings of the season

In its first outing of the current season, the County Tipperary Ryan Youth Orchestra performed arrangements of sacred music at Mass in St. Michael’s Church, Tipperary with St. Michael’s Girls School Choir, where they were wamly welcomed by the celebrant Fr. James Kennedy.

In its first outing of the current season, the County Tipperary Ryan Youth Orchestra performed arrangements of sacred music at Mass in St. Michael’s Church, Tipperary with St. Michael’s Girls School Choir, where they were wamly welcomed by the celebrant Fr. James Kennedy.

The orchestra, under the direction of Michael John Ryan and the choir, under Ida Mooney were joined on the occasion by the CTRYO Junior orchestra. A very large congregation delighted at their combined contribution to the ceremony. This was followed by a Christmas Concert, shared by the Ryan School of Music in Ballykisteen Hotel on Sunday 9th December. New concert venues for the new year and a trip abroad are all in the offing for 2013. In the meantime rehearsals by the orchestra will commence on the11th January at St. Ailbe’s School, Tipperary.
