The Dunkerrin Community is proud to present Bernard Farrell’s comedy ‘Say Cheese’.
In this play Bernard Farrell takes a satiric swipe at contemporary Irish life, letting us into the murky secrets which surround the man and his wife who have been selected as ‘Ireland’s happiest couple.
This is the third play to be presented by Dunkerrin Community Centre.
Mark McLoughlin, as director, has assembled a very strong cast. Robert Guest plays Mr Bradshaw, the organizer of the cheese promotion. Anne McCormack and Gerry McAuliffe play the happy couple, Bride and Valentine, while Elizabeth Hogan is their daughter, Heather, and Philip Sutton is their son, Ray.
Best man Rory is played by John Maher and the bridesmaid, Goldie, by Meabh Campion. Sean Delaney is the unflustered hotel manager Mr Le’Strange and he is ably assisted by Julie (Aishling Carroll). Eamon Fanning plays Father O’Shaughnessy and the videographers, the Moore brothers, are played by Jimmy Greed and James Byrne.
Mark McLoughlin directs the production. Set construction is by Ger Moten and Caroline Moten has presented brilliant art work on signage and presentation of the stage.
This is a play not to be missed and is on stage on Saturday, November 22nd, Sunday, November 23rd and Wednesday, November 26th.
Curtains open each night at 8.15pm. Tickets are €10 while students and OAP are €5 and may be obtained in advance at Byrnes Post Office (0505 45208) or (087 675 8546).
