Cork’s internationally-acclaimed soprano Cara O’Sullivan is the special guest artist in a concert in aid of autism in Kilshane House, Bansha on Sunday, May 13.

Cara has toured the world performing in all major theatres like the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Opera House and Sydney Opera House to name but a few. When she made her debut as Queen of the Night at the Cincinnati Festival Opera the press enthused: “Cara O’Sullivan dominated her scenes with a voice that practically pulls you from your seat”.

She recently was guest soloist with Regina Nathan and Celine Byrne for the RTE Symphony Orchestra concert tour of Ireland.

Cara O’Sullivan is a regular performer in Thomond Park when Munster Rugby are at home.

She represented Ireland in The Cardiff Singer of the World in 1993.

Cara will perform many old favourites including Villa, We’ll Gather Lilies and O My Beloved Father.

Also performing in the concert are new Cashel singing sensation Thomas Grogan, flautist Cormac O’Flaherty and Cahir soprano Jenny Davis.

A recent winner of two prestigious competitions (including best female voice) at the Dublin Feis Ceoil and Bass/Baritone Derek Ryan just returned from a hugely successful tour of the USA. A feature of the concert will be when Cara and Derek join together to entertain the audience and should not be missed.

This will be an unforgettable evening. The owners Finbar and Jane will host a wine reception at 7pm and the concert will commence at 8pm. Booking opens on Monday, April 23rd. Tickets can be purchased at the Excel theatre 062 80520, Nellies Bar, Bansha 062 54218 and Kilshane House 062 82444.
