Tipperary bands Salad Circus and My Fellow Sponges are set to feature at the KnockanStockan festival at Blessington Lakes.

The KnockanStockan returns for the sixth consecutive year on July 27th-29th.

KnockanStockan showcases the best independent acts from these shores and beyond.

With a line up of 150 acts packed this year’s festival is set to be the best one yet when it plays host to acts like Windings, Hush War Cry, The Strypes, Liz Lawrence, Raglans, The Riptide Movement and Tipperary bands Salad Circus and My Fellow Sponges. KnockanStockan’s four stages will be rocking Blessington ‘til the wee hours. This three-day, volunteer-run event has more than just music to entertain; the Faerie Field is being expanded this year to include a 4D extravaganza performance area hosting live art, live DJ’s and dance performances.

How to get there: Dublin Bus (65) runs from Dublin City Centre and shuttle bus from Blessington Village straight to the box office in Lacken Village. There’s also a car park close by for those who prefer to car pool.

Tickets cost a mere E75 and include camping. Tickets are available through the new website - www.knockanstockan.ie. You can also purchase a ticket in Sweeney’s Bar, 32 Dame street, Dublin 2 and in the Lakes Pub, Blessington, County Wicklow.
