Following on from last year’s Graces of Lisheen writer Paul Maher and Tipperary town’s Dreamtime Theatre are back this year with another summer show.
And while last year’s show at The Excel revolved around traditional Irish love song this year’s show is inspired by the songs of Joe Dolan. The story in the show is based on the play The Bear by Anton Checkov.
Paul Maher’s musical tells the story of The Farmer of Lisheen who calls to the young widow of a deceased friend hoping to collect an outstanding debt, but matters of the heart get in the way. The show plays in The Marian Hall on July 18th & 20th (8.30pm) with a matinee on July 23rd at 2pm.
