The Tipperary Bealtaine Festival 2015 will present award-winning poet Paul Durcan and the highly-respected Tipperary senior hurling manager Professor Eamon O’Shea in conversation as part of this year’s festival celebrating creativity in older age.
The event will take place in The Source Arts Centre on Thursday, May 7th (7.30pm).
Professor of Economics at NUI Galway, with a special research interest in Gerontology, Eamon O’Shea explores topics such as sport, literature and life with Paul Durcan who will also treat audiences to readings from his work.
This meeting of minds and passions is sure to be an inspiring event which will re-inforce the aims of the Bealtaine Festival in encouraging enquiry, creativity and expression at all stages of life.
The event will be organised in partnership with Poetry Ireland, Tipperary Arts Office, Tipperary Libraries & The Source Arts Centre.
