Cappawhite Student Teacher excels at Limerick Research Conference

Fearghal Ryan from Cappawhite was highly acclaimed at the Limerick & Clare Education Centres’ Fifth Annual Education Research Conference in Limerick on Saturday 7th March.

Fearghal Ryan from Cappawhite was highly acclaimed at the Limerick & Clare Education Centres’ Fifth Annual Education Research Conference in Limerick on Saturday 7th March.

Fearghal’s education research paper A personal reflection on my experiences during School Placement (Teaching Practice), gave a comprehensive reflection on his experiences during a three week placement in a mixed 5th/6th classroom as part of his undergraduate teacher training course in the 4 year B.Ed. programme in Mary Immaculate College. He explained how he used the iPad as a teaching aid during the three weeks school placement. The Paper included examples of activities that were done with children to stimulate their interest in the various curricular areas. Fearghal attended Cappawhite National Primary School and St.Fintans Doon CBS Post Primary School.
