AN exhibition of artwork by Jerry Cahir, a former manager of the AIB in Roscrea, opens at the at the Origin Gallery (83 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2) on Thursday, May 17th and runs until June 16th.

The proceeds of the Secrets of the Soul exhibition will be donated to the Baby Max Foundation. To contact the Origin Gallery please call 01 478 5159 or email theorigingallery@gmail.com.

The Baby Max Wings of Love Fund was founded by Darina Ní Chuinneagáin and Declan Donnelly following the tragic death of their son Max ten years ago from Meningitis B & Meningicoccal Septicaemia.

The first goal of the fund was to purchase a badly needed Haemofiltration Machine for Temple Street Children’s Hospital that they did not have at the time and had to borrow from another hospital. They were delighted to accomplish this through hard work, dedication and the support of many people.

Darina & Declan decided to take things a step further and make contact with all the Dublin Children’s Hospitals & Paediatric Units nationwide as to what vital medical equipment they were missing. As a result of these actions, the Baby Max Wings of Love Fund has to date purchased in excess of E1million worth of all types of necessary medical equipment for hospitals and hospices in Dublin, Mullingar, Sligo, Galway, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Wexford to name but a few. The consultants and medical staff will let the charity know exactly what they need and Darina and Declan will go directly to the relevant medical suppliers to order and purchase it.
