Mark Friday, May 10th in your diary when a quiz fundraiser at The Source Arts Centre promises to be a great kick start to the weekend and all in aid of a very good cause. The Source Youth Arts Programme is now in its 8th successful year and is committed to ensuring access to professional artists and arts practice for young people in the locality in conjunction with Tipperary Regional Youth Services.

In July a group of 11-17-year-olds will have the opportunity to take part in a week’s worth of fun and making new friends whilst working with professional theatre makers, writers and designers to create a live performance event for family and friends. The show will be based on the magical stories of Aladdin, The Voyages of Sinbad and Ali Baba. This is an incredible opportunity for local young people to work with professionals in a professional setting. In order to keep this seven-day project accessible to all The Source Arts Centre is undertaking a fundraising drive over the next few weeks to ensure that young people who apply for subsidised places on The Source Youth Arts Programme are not disappointed.

So, get a gang together for the table quiz and enjoy some trivia with plenty of laughs and entertainment promised. The quiz will take place in The Source Bar which will be serving wine and beverages on the night. Quizmaster for the night is Tom Noone, who is no stranger to the table quiz circuit and has chaired plenty of successful and enjoyable quiz nights over the years. Local band Strings & Things will finish the night on a high as they roll out their trad/rock spin on classic hits. This band is on the tip of everyone’s tongues at the moment as their debut performance over Easter at the Pieta House fundraiser at The Abbey Inn in Holycross was a roaring success.

A team of four costs only E20 and will make a difference to one local young person’s summer well spent.

The table quiz will take place on Friday, May 10th in The Source Arts Centre Bar (8.30pm ‘till late). To book your team and a table please call the box office on 0504 90204 or go to www.thesourceartscentre.ie for more details.
