It’s comedy festival time again in Clonmel

The Bulmers Clonmel Comedy Festival is celebrating its seventh anniversary by expanding the festival to five days of classic comedy.

You can expect thrills, belly laughs, heavenly banter and exceptional value for money as the world’s top comedians ensure Clonmel is the funniest hotspot on the planet from November 27th to December 1st.

The Bulmers Comedy Festival has grown since 2007 to become a major event on the comedy circuit in Ireland regularly attracting big international names and introducing stars of the future to Ireland.

As always the festival will bring the cream of Irish comedy and they are delighted to announce that Tommy Tiernan and Davis O’Doherty will make very rare appearances at an Irish festival. Tommy Tiernan brings his show to the festival on Thursday, November 28th and David O’Doherty closes the festival on Sunday, December 1st.

The festival brings the top stars from Edinbrugh and upcoming stars and this year we have top UK acts including Sean Walsh and Shappi Khorsandi.

Colm O’Regan opens the festival on Wednesday, November 27th in the new Bakers Bar venue. Colm brings his new show “Ireland’s Got More Mammies” to coincide with the launch of his new book “That’s More of it Now – the 2nd Book of Irish Mammies”.

The second solo show will be the brilliant The Nualas on Saturday, November 30th. Ireland’s top all-female comedy singing sensations The Nualas new show is the fabulous ‘The Nualas: One Night of Dignity’. In a world where pop stars think nothing of singing in their underwear The Nualas buck the trend by sporting proper yet unbelievably glamorous and shiny, stage attire.

“We are now firmly established as one of the top comedy festivals in Ireland. We are getting a reputation at the Edinburgh Fringe for breaking new comedy talent in Ireland so this has enabled me to bring top upcoming and established comedians. This is looking like our biggest and best year yet,” explained Fergal O’Keeffe, Festival Director.
