A wonderful evening of music and reflection will take place in Rockwell College Church on Friday 28th November in aid of St Marys Abbey, Glencairn Building Fund.
This lovely social evening will commence at 7.30pm and will be followed by Refreshments and a Raffle. Tickets €10 each. Entertainment on the night will include; Patrick Conlon,Tipperary Gospel Choir, Thomas Grogan Tenor Cashel Community School Choir and many other supporting acts. St Marys Abbey Glencairn is a Cistercian Monastery for woman on the river Blackwater, three miles from Lismore in Co. Waterford.
The Cisrercian nuns are an enclosed order who live a life of prayer and work, obedience and simplicity, solitude and silence. Unfortunately the facilities in Glencairn are in urgent need of repair and funds are badly needed to help with The Building Project. The evening of November 28th in Rockwell Church promises to be a most entertaining occasion and great value for money. The entertainers for the evening have very generously offered their talents and time so enthusiastically. Rockwell Church is an ideal and wonderful venue. The school principal Audrey O’ Byrne and the community have kindly made it available for the occasion. It is a great cause and an opportunity to show support and appreciation for these wonderful women and their work. The abbess Sr. Marie has given special permission for some of the nuns to be present on the night so there will be an opportunity to meet them.
There will also be a petition box availabe so people can put in their prayer requests. The Nuns will also have a selection of cards including Christmas cards and some as gaelge.
