Best-selling crime writer Sophie Hannah visits the Tipperary Libraries

There is a real treat in store for all crime fans when internationally-renowned crime writer Sophie Hannah visits Tipperary Libraries during the weekend of November 14th-15th.

There is a real treat in store for all crime fans when internationally-renowned crime writer Sophie Hannah visits Tipperary Libraries during the weekend of November 14th-15th.

Over the past few months Hannah’s book, ‘Kind of Cruel’, has been read by hundreds of people across the county and next weekend they will have the fantastic opportunity to meet Sophie and discuss her writing.

Sophie is visiting as this year’s focus author for the seventh Tipperary Reads Festival.

Sophie’s work has been published in 27 countries. In 2013 her latest novel, ‘The Carrier’, won the Crime Thriller of the Year Award at the Specsavers National Book Awards. Two of Sophie’s crime novels, ‘The Point of Rescue’ and ‘The Other Half Lives’, have been adapted for television and appeared on ITV1 under the series title ‘Case Sensitive’ in 2011 and 2012.

Hannah has recently published the new Hercule Poirot novel ‘The Monogram Murders’ with the backing of the Agatha Christie estate. Copies of all her novels can be borrowed from your local library.

Festival organiser Lorraine Treacy said: “this is an amazing opportunity to meet one of the best contemporary crime writers and is one not to be missed. We look forward to seeing you all at one of the events over the weekend”.

Sophie will be visiting Clonmel Library on Friday, November 14th at 7pm; Nenagh Library on Saturday, November 15th at 3pm and also on November 15th will feature at Thurles Library (7pm).
