Julie Holland from Clonmel has been honoured with a prestigious award for excellence in music.

Julie is pictured here at The Leinster School of Music & Drama (LSMD) Excellence Awards Concert in Griffith College Dublin. Now in its 10th year, the Leinster School first held the Excellence Awards in 2004 to celebrate the centenary year of the School. This popular music & drama school examined over 14,000 students nationwide last year, 370 students were nominated for Excellence Awards competition and, after “call-backs” in Griffith College, four finalists were chosen for both Drama and Music performance categories. Overall winners in each distinction were chosen on the day and received €300 and a LSMD perpetual cup. Candidates performed in front of a packed auditorium and all contestants were singled out for ‘Special Recognition’ by the Judges. (Photo by ConorMcCabe).
