The Town Hall Cinema in the Nenagh Arts Centre will present a screening of ‘Jimi: All Is By My Side’ on Thursday, June 11th at 8pm (tickets are priced at just €8).
‘Jimi: All Is By My Side’ is directed by John Ridley and covers a pivotal year in Jimi Hendrix’s life from 1966-67.
At the time Hendrix was an unknown back-up guitarist playing New York’s Cheetah Club, but the film charts his rise until he makes his mark on the London’s music scene with his Montery Pop triumph. The film presents an intimate portrait of the sensitve young musician on the verge of becoming a rock legend.
Andre Benjamin stars as the guitar player who redefined the role of the lead guitarist.
