South Tipperary Tourism Company has organised two familiarisation trips to offer product providers the chance to sell their services and to familiarise themselves with other tourism services and attractions available close by. These familiarisation trips have been organised for anyone working in the trade who has interaction with tourists in South Tipperary such as accommodation providers, tourist office personnel, attraction personnel such as the staff at the racecourses, local restaurants, publicans, museum and heritage site staff etc.
Trip 1 will take place on Wednesday, April 25 departing from the Clonmel Park Hotel at 9.45am. Trip 1 will take in sites of interest in and around Clonmel, Carrick on Suir, Mullinahone, Ballingarry and Fethard returning to Clonmel by 4.30pm.
Trip 2 will take place on Wednesday, May 2 departing from South Tipperary Development Company Offices, Carrigeen Business Park, Cahir at 9.45am. Trip 2 will take in sites of interest in and around Cahir, the Knockmealdown & Galtee Mountains, The Vee, Emly, Tipperary and Cashel returning to Cahir by 4.30pm.
A tour guide will be provided on the bus to note sites of interest as we drive along. There will also be an opportunity for each product provider to profile their business to other attendees. This is a unique opportunity for the tourism trade to work together to share ideas and create linkages/packages.
The familiarisation trips will be subsidised by South Tipperary Tourism Company making them available at the credit crunch price of only €10 per person per trip including lunch.
