Clonmel Theatre Guild’s ever popular Dinner Theatre returns to Raheen House Hotel next week from Wednesday, 12th – Saturday, 15th June. This hilarious night of comedy consisting of three one-act plays is collectively entitled Trouble in Paradise and also supports Acquired Brain Injury.
In Last Respects by Colin Calvery (directed by Carol Acheson) Henry Throgmorton (deceased) has decreed that a wake should be held in his honour. The guests, previously unknown to each other, are his wife and his two mistresses. A Spy With A View by Robert Scott (directed by Maggie Morrissey) features David and Vicky who are on holiday, but the weather has trapped them in their hotel room. The monotony is broken by the delivery of a mysterious briefcase, with a recording that self-destructs. Where’s the real spy? London Suite - The Man on the Floor By Neil Simon (directed by Patricia Harte) is about Mark and Anne Ferris, an American couple who are in London for the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. Their plans are put on hold, however, when Anne loses the tickets, Mark’s back gives out and they are asked to move because they have accidentally been given Kevin Costner’s suite.
The dinner theatre promises a night full of laughter and good food and tickets, which are selling fast, are available from Marian’s, O’Connell Street, Clonmel, tel. (052) 6123813.
